Organisation of the School Day

ORGANISATION OF THE SCHOOL DAY
 
 The school day begins at 8.45 with morning registration closing at 9.00.
 
Any child not in school at the beginning of the school day at 8.45 will be recorded as ‘late’. If s/he arrives after 9.00, this is classified as an absence for that morning session.
 
Punctuality is essential to the smooth running of the school and to the personal, social and academic progress of the individual. Always be on time!
 
Beginning of the school day 8.45
Mid morning Break 10.15 (KS1) / 1040 (KS2)
 
Lunch 11:45 (Rec) / 12:00 (Yr 1)  / 12.10 (Yr 2) / 12.30 (Yr 3/4) 12:40 (yr 5/6)
 
Afternoon sessions begin 13.15 (Infants) /  13.30 (Juniors)
 
End of school day 15: 15 (Infants) / 15.30 (Juniors)
 
 
PLEASE NOTE: AS WE ARE A CATHOLIC SCHOOL, THE GOVENORS HAVE A POLICY OF KEEPING THE SCHOOL OPEN, EACH YEAR, DURING HOLY WEEK. TERM DATES ARE GIVEN OUT EACH YEAR IN THE SUMMER TERM AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU NOTE THAT ST MARY’S TERM DATES MAY DIFFER TO THOSE SET BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY.
